Viotti ex-Bruce, 1709 Maple and Spruce wood The ‘Viotti ex-Bruce’ 1709 violin by Antonio Stradivari was once owned by Queen Marie Antoinette’s personal violinist, Giovanni Battista Viotti. It has a stunning one-piece back and shows Stradivari’s signature varnish. You can view the ‘Viotti ex-Bruce’ in the Strings Gallery of the Royal Academy of Music’s free Museum.
